Happy May! I have been busy out promoting the new issue of In The Dark, that the month of April came and went in a blink of an eye. But I'm working on some new things to come:

- Finally got a rough storyboard down for a new Skitzo short. I've been learning a new animation program called Moho, but I just dont think I'm good enough to make the next Skitzo toon look good in this program yet...so I may have to draw it in Flash my good old "fallback" for this one.

- I'm still getting the hang of Moho and to make this happen, I MUST make cartoons in it to serve as practice, so that I can get better with its layout, shortcuts, and features. As a result, I started a mini animation book trailer to promote In The Dark Issue 5 but...let's just say it wasn't coming out very well. The visuals themselves look really good but I still have issue with making it move natural. So the work I did in April...I may just scrap it and try again! Maybe I will post the WIP on Patreon!

- More animation practice! After I stopped working on the book trailer thingy, I felt like I needed another animation to just PLAY with. Something that would let me try the program more but not be too harsh on myself if it still comes out wonky or off. And now I'm drawing a short SAHU animation as a result...yes SAHU is alive and this would be the first animation I've done of him in years. So if you are a fan of SAHU there is something on the way sooner than the comic book (which I am still drawing!).

- A bunch of Sketches! The downside to staring at a screen all day is that I get eye strain and as a result I will look away from a monitor and instead sketch a bunch of pencil doodles. My Patreon supporters can expect a big bunch of new pages once I scan them up. :)

- Lastly, I have been roughing out Issue #6 now, and new pages will start up later next month. The one thing about finishing a book is that when you are ready to do the next book, it feels like a restart from square one again, and I need to lay out the writing, the dialogue, and the visuals that are all scribbled in my sketch books into legible and coherent images and pages. And then be sure these all make into a proper book page count for printing purposes. It's a task, but once it's laid out from the start, the real work of drawing and inking everything makes it flow faster and easier with no 2nd guessing in the middle of it all.
